Traditional Basic Semester/Trimester Program

Please be aware that CSU Long Beach is an impacted campus. This means that if you are not offered admission to the School of Nursing, you will not be offered admission to the university. Therefore, it is important to follow these instructions to the letter.

  • 2016-2017 NCLEX passing rate: 100%

Please note:  All 8 Nursing prerequisite courses should be completed by the end of Summer 2018 if applying for Spring 2019 admission. Nursing prerequisite courses in progress in Fall 2018 will be counted as C for rating purposes.  This greatly reduces your chances of being offered admission.

To calculate your rating:
The science gpa points equal the exact gpa in that category.  A 3.95 would equal 3.95 points.
The general education gpa points equal the gpa divided by 2 in that category.   A 3.9 would equal 1.95 points.
The TEAS results, both total score and reading score, are multiplied by 0.02:  90% would equal 1.80 points.

This Nursing Application is due by September 10, 2018.
