Please be aware that CSU Long Beach is an impacted campus. This means that if you are not offered admission to the School of Nursing, you will not be offered admission to the university. Therefore, it is important to follow these instructions to the letter. The School of Nursing needs your nursing application, transcripts and TEAS results by 2-10-16. Failure to do so will mean that the university will not consider your university application.
Fall 2016 : All applicants must submit the School of Nursing Supplemental Application with official transcripts, and TEAS results to the SON from January 1 to February 10, 2016.
We can consider for admission three categories of applicants for the Traditional Basic Semester/Trimester BSN Program: CSULB Students, Undergraduate Transfer Students and Students with degrees in other fields. Applicants must follow instructions for their own category.
CSULB students with less than 75 units apply by submitting a School of Nursing application with all transcripts by the deadline. If you are a CSULB student with more that 75 units, you will be required to complete your current degree. You can then apply as an applicant with a degree in another field.
Undergraduate Transfer students who have not earned a BA/BS must apply to the CSULB via CSUmentor.edu between October 1 to November 30, 2015. The degree objective is Nursing: Basic. CSULB Enrollment Services will request, by email after January 1, 2016, an Enrollment Services supplemental application from well qualified transfer applicants. Therefore, undergraduate transfer students will be required to submit the CSULB application, the CSULB supplemental application and the School of Nursing application by the deadlines. Applicants offered admission to both CSULB and the SON, will then be requested to submit transcripts promptly to CSULB.
Students with degrees in other fields may apply to this program. These applicants must use the graduate CSUmentor.edu application between October 1 to November 30, 2015. The degree objective is Nursing: Additional BS. When Enrollment Services requests official transcripts, the applicants must quickly comply.
Semester/Trimester BSN Sessions [Campus Map] : No Reservation needed. These meetings are for applicants who will not have a CA RN license when admitted. For further information see Documents under Undergraduate Handouts and Documents
