Our Department's Mission Statement

The mission of the CSULB Health Care Administration Program is to prepare professionals to manage, lead and improve a changing health care system. Our graduate and undergraduate program are designed, and continually strive to improve their efforts, to meet the needs of the dynamic health care system, and to emphasize culturally appropriate patient-centered service delivery systems. The mission is supported by the following:

  • Vision: Being the highly sought program of choice by undergraduate students who aspire to meaningful and successful careers in health care management.

  • Values: The Program's values are lifelong learning, research and innovations, collaboration, servant leadership, student-centeredness, applied knowledge, professionalism, and ethical behavior.

Our graduate programs are designed--and continually strive--to meet the needs of the dynamic health care system in California and beyond and to emphasize culturally appropriate patient-centered service delivery systems. This mission is supported by both the vision and values of the CSULB Department of Health Care Administration.
