Application Process and Deadlines

Students must concurrently submit applictions to the Unversity Admissions and Records Office and to the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences.

3. Officially reported GRE scores. Send GRE scores using the CSULB institution code, 4389.

Materials to Send to the Department:

A. Printout of the Completed CSU Graduate Application.

  • Disregard the "For Your Records. Do Not Send to the University" warning on the completed application.

B. Three letters of recommendation, signed and on official letterhead, with at least two from instructors who have direct knowledge of the applicant's scholastic ability and professional qualifications.

  • Please note that a letter of recommendation sent through DICAS is not sufficient and a physical letter is required for the FCS department. For questions about this, please contact the current graduate assistant.
