The School of Criminology, Criminal Justice, and Emergency Management, in conjunction with CSULB's College of Continuing and Professional Education (formerly University College and Extension Services), offers the following certificates:

  • Basic Applied Forensic Science and Crime Scene Analysis: This certificate program provides an overview of major areas in the forensic sciences giving students a competitive edge in criminal justice careers. The skills and knowledge obtained in this program may also qualify students for special forensic science assignments within law enforcement agencies.

  • High Tech Crime Investigation and Loss Prevention: The High Tech Crime Investigation and Loss Prevention Certificate provides an overview of the most important aspects of computer, internet, child pornography, and fraud crimes. Law enforcement, legal professionals, and consumers, must acquire the skills and tools to provide public protection.
