Spring 2017 Drop In Advising

Advising during spring break is by appointment only. Please call ahead to check advisor availability. Regular drop in advising hours resume Monday, April 3rd.

Upcoming drop in advising hours are:
- Monday, April 3rd - 8:30am to 4pm
- Tuesday, April 4th - 8:30am to 4pm
- Wednesday, April 5th - 8:30am to 4pm
- Thursday, April 6th - 8:30am to 4pm

NOTE: Hours are subject to change and may end early depending on the number of students waiting and advisor availability.

More information can be found on our Spring 2017 Advising page.

Advising Syllabus & Degree Checklist

Academic advising is a collaborative effort. Advisors will partner with you to help you make the best decisions possible, but you are in charge of your academic decisions and degree progress.

Our CHHS Advising Syllabus outlines key responsibilities and expectations each individual has in the advising relationship.

The Degree Checklist & Advising Contract provides a summary of your graduation requirements and limitations.

Students are expected to review these documents prior to meeting with a CHHS advisor.

Major Specific Declaration Requirements (MSDR)
for CSULB Students

CSULB students must meet precise Major Specific Declaration Requirements (MSDR) in order to declare a major.

Review the MSDR for all majors on the Enrollment Services website.
