What is the Saturday MBA Program?
- A 23-month, 48 unit fast-track MBA
- Saturdays-only classes except for the Orientation and International Experience
- Lock-step sequence of courses
- Students take two 3-unit courses per 10-week term
- Team focus
- Nationally and internationlly known facultty who are active in research and consulting
- Textbooks, parking, breakfast and lunch are included in the cost
- One-week international experience (counts for 3 units) included in program
- Three-day residential orientationat the Marriott Courtyard in Long Beach
When will this program begin?
New cohorts of MBA students begin each fall.
Where are the classes held?
All classes are held in the College of Business Administration classrooms on the CSULB campus. The classrooms use state-of-the-art interactive instructional technology.
When are the classes held?
Classes meet on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 5:45 pm, with one class in the morning and one class in the afternoon. Breakfast is available starting at 7:30 and there is a 1 hr lunch break.
Who teaches the MBA courses?
The same high-quality faculty who teach in our Evening MBA program.
Is my Saturday MBA degree a real MBA?
Yes. All MBA degrees at California State University Long Beach are fully accredited by AACSB International.
How many units do I have to take?
The Saturday MBA Program requires only 48 units to complete.
Are there areas of specialization available in the Saturday MBA Program?
The program focuses on Sustainability and the Business Organization taught within the content of the advanced study courses. You learn about sustainability through advanced Accounting, Marketing, HRM/Management, Finance, Strategy, and Economics.
What about business courses I've already taken at CSULB?
In accordance with the College of Business Administration’s graduate program policies, coursework completed more than three years prior to enrolling in the program does not qualify for waivers.
When is the application deadline?
Applications are accepted October 1-May 31.
How many students are admitted to the cohort?
Given the cohort nature of the degree, class size will be limited to 35.
What if the program fills up?
Applications for each MBA cohort will be logged on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage early application to each cohort, and wemaintain a waiting list for the next cohort if need be..
Will Saturday MBA Applicants be interviewed?
No. Admission decisions will be based on the written and video application materials.
What is the cost?
The complete 23-month Saturday MBA program will cost $48,000.
