Spyridon (Spiro) Samonas holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems Management from the London School of Economics (LSE). He has previously earned an MSc in Analysis, Design and Management of Information Systems (ADMIS) with Upper Merit from LSE, as well as a BSc in Economics with Distinction from the University of Piraeus. Spiro is currently Assistant Professor in Information Systems at California State University, Long Beach. Prior to this appointment, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor in Computer Information Systems at Louisiana Tech University and a Post-doctoral Research Fellow in Cyber-security at Virginia Commonwealth University. Previously, he taught Business Information Technology and Services at Warwick Business School and Information Systems Management at LSE. Spiro was also teaching faculty in LSE100. Besides a professional background in business analysis in the insurance and hospitality software industries, he has acquired front-of-house management experience in the London hospitality industry.
