Dr. Chen is a tenured full Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management in the College of Business. He teaches courses in operations management, supply chain management, service management, business analytics, and international business at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Dr. Chen’s primary research areas include dynamic pricing, revenue management, scheduling, and supply chain management. In particular, he applies optimization and simulation models to help firms identify opportunities and develop effective tools to increase revenue and reduce cost. His research work appeared in various leading journals in his field such as Production and Operations Management, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, IISE Transactions, Transportation Research Part E, Computers and Operations Research, and International Journal of Production Research.
