Overview

The CSULB Research Infrastructure for Minority Institutions (RIMI) Project is funded by a five-year grant from the National Institutes of Health, National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities, and Research Infrastructure in Minority Institutions (RIMI) Program. The RIMI Project is a CSULB-wide effort to involve faculty and students in minority health and health disparities research through support of pilot research projects, seminars, trainings, graduate student employment, and a health disparities research course. The aim of the course is to advance the understanding of minority health, health disparities, and to prepare a future generation of researchers. Dr. Britt Rios-Ellis directs the student core of this project. The Center is proud to report that 50% of RIMI graduates have been accepted to, and/or are currently enrolled in, doctoral programs.
