Farber Fitness Room Dedication

Alumnus Stuart L. Farber, dean of students emeritus, and his wife, alumna Patricia Farber, became the first donors to the new Student Recreation and Wellness Center at California State University, Long Beach. They were honored Nov. 8 with a room dedication ceremony in the now named Farber Fitness Room.

The Farbers have always believed in strong minds and strong bodies. Stuart was a former Long Beach Poly High School, Long Beach City College and UCLA track and football athlete; and Patricia is a former gymnast, track athlete and CSULB cheerleader. This was in part their reason for the Farber Fitness Room motto “Strong Mind, Strong Body.”

Also, in attendance at the dedication were Vice President Doug Robinson, Vice President Andrea Taylor, ASI Vice President Lucy Nguyen, ASI Treasurer Jameson Nyeholt, and a host of university directors, student leaders, staff and friends.
