Describe your college experience.

It was a fabulous experience. Made wonderful friends, had a good time being involved and still had time to make good grades.

What activities/organizations were you involved in while attending LBSC?

I was involved with Kappa Phi Gamma Society and student government.

How did LBSC prepare you for life after college?

Don Muchmore was one of the professors who made an impact on my academic and professional career. I worked part-time for Don Muchmore in political campaigns and political public opinion research. After I got my Masters I worked for Don Muchmore full-time.

What are you doing today?

I am retired. I do volunteer work for the Boys & Girls Club of Stanton , the Blind Children School in Tustin and Acacia Adult Day Care Services in Garden Grove.

How have you been involved with the CSULB as an alumni?

I was President of the Alumni Association in 1955 and 1956. I taught a public relations course way back when. More recently, I have been involved with the Golden Graduates Celebration Committee, working with the Alumni Relations staff to help plan for the event coming this November.

What advice would you give to a current student today?

Enjoy your college years. Work hard in your courses but also get involved in campus life. Keep in touch with your friends.
