Golden Giving

The Golden Graduate classes from 1949 – 1961 have had a truly profound impact on the University, helping build the foundation of what our university has become today.  Their contributions to Long Beach State College during those formative years have resonated with generations since and impacted countless students.  The Golden Graduate legacy lives on today.

This year, we are proud to announce that the Golden Giving Campaign will benefit our very own President's Scholars Program, the premier scholarship of its kind in the state. The program provides California high school seniors who are qualifying valedictorians from accredited high schools or National Scholars an opportunity to compete for an exceptional package that includes full payment of tuition and general student fees, paid campus housing and high priority registration, among many other benefits.

We hope that each Golden Graduate can contribute as much as they are able. We are very excited to integrate our very first alumni of the university with our President's Scholars and thank the Golden Graduates in advance for their support. When all the gifts are tallied, the results of the Golden Giving Campaign will be announced during Homecoming Week, so be sure to attend the festivities. Most importantly, show your class pride by giving today and helping a new generation of 49ers to succeed.
