Political Science

I have extremely fond memories of my college days at CalState. The upcoming 'Golden Grad' event gives all of us 'oldy but goody' grads an opportunity to see classmates and to relive those special moments.

Business Administration

My four years at CSULB were really enjoyable and at the same time required dedication and perseverance to overcome the obstacles of daily life. The education I received and the friendships formed still play an important part in my retired years.

The reunion offers me a rare chance to try and turn the clock back to a time when I was still pretty wet behind the ears and reminisce about some of the best days I had in my young adult years. Whether I run into people I knew then doesn't matter; I will see and talk to people who were there when I was and we can share a story or two about our classes, professors and the events we had fun attending. Long Beach State was a special place for me and I always get a charge when I come back to the campus.

Golden Faculty/Staff Representative

As a former faculty serving on the Committee I have been able to renew acquaintances with former students who have returned for the event. I had the pleasure of enjoying time with Herb Farrar, one of my Baseball players of the 50's and Stan Guzy who is on the Committee this year.

I thought by being part of my 50 Year Reunion, this will be a great opportunity to reconnect with those I studied and worked with while at LBSC. This reunion should be exciting and fun - possibly a start of new friendships.

I have so much enjoyed being able to see the great progress the university has made and I am so proud to be a graduate of CSULB.

I am looking forward to seeing other 1963 graduates. My years at CSULB (Long Beach State back then) were great years of my life with many friendships formed that I still cherish today. Many '63 graduates have stayed in this area. I have been active with Delta Gamma Alums and several other organizations through the University, as well as an active booster for CSULB athletics. I feel lucky to live near the school and be able to remain involved. I am proud to be a graduate of CSULB!

Engineering, IT Electronics

I lived on the Peninsula and remember walking on the beach trying to understand my calculus homework. I also rowed junior varsity crew two years. At the reunion I am hoping to see some of my Electrical Engineering classmates-we all went different directions after graduating.

I have great memories of Long Beach State, especially my senior year since I was able to go to school without having to work. I was able to be very involved in school activities by pledging a fraternity and taking a major part in 49er Days. These days I return for sporting events and I look forward to the 1964 50th Reunion.
